Onchain reinsurance capital crosses a key threshold as combined reUSD and reUSDe deposits accelerate; more than $13 million in yield has accrued to holders

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands, Nov. 4, 2026 — The Resilience Foundation today announced that combined deposits across Re Protocol's two yield-bearing tokens, reUSD and reUSDe, have surpassed $400 million, a milestone that underscores accelerating investor demand for reinsurance-backed yield delivered onchain.

Notably, deposits climbed from $300 million to $400 million in just 40 days, roughly 80% faster than the 186 days it took to grow from $200 million to $300 million. The acceleration signals deepening adoption of tokenized real-world-asset (RWA) strategies, one of the fastest-growing segments in digital assets.

More than $13 million in yield has accrued to holders of reUSD and reUSDe, an increase of more than 20% since September 21, 2026. Both tokens accrue yield through daily increases in net asset value (NAV). As of October 30, 2026, trailing 7-day annualized yields were approximately 6.82% for reUSD and 11.82% for reUSDe.

"We've held the same discipline as capital has scaled. Every dollar deposited sits behind real reinsurance risk as collateral, it's visible onchain, and the yield flows back to the people who provided it," said Karn Saroya, CEO of Re.

How it works. Re Protocol is a decentralized protocol that channels stablecoin capital into fully collateralized reinsurance contracts through licensed reinsurers. Administered by the Resilience Foundation, it lets depositors contribute stablecoins that serve as collateral backing real-world reinsurance agreements, opening a traditionally institutional capital market to a broader set of participants. Re Protocol's first reinsurance partner is Cover Re SPC Ltd., a Cayman-based, CIMA-regulated reinsurer; the Resilience Foundation and Cover Re SPC Ltd. are distinct entities.

Re offers two tokens for different risk appetites. reUSD, the senior tranche, is a lower-volatility, highly liquid token positioned at the top of the capital stack. reUSDe, the mezzanine tranche, earns a higher spread in exchange for lower liquidity, with redemptions processed through quarterly windows.

Backed by verifiable collateral. Re publishes real-time transparency data covering onchain capital (stablecoins and LP positions verifiable onchain across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Avalanche) and offchain capital (fiat held in regulated bank and trust accounts, including Reg 114 trusts, verified daily by a third-party firm and published via Chainlink).
